Can I open an account now?
Not yet. Docan Money is seeking FCA registration as a Small Electronic Money Institution. No regulated service will begin until the necessary registration or approval is obtained. You can request a place on the waitlist.
Who is the initial service for?
UK-resident individuals aged 18 and over, for personal use. Accounts and payments will be accessed through the mobile app.
Is Docan Money a bank?
No. The proposed Docan Money account is an e-money account. Customer funds will be protected through safeguarding, not through the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. Read more about safeguarding.
What about cards and EUR accounts?
Virtual and single-use cards are designed to spend from your GBP Docan Money Account, subject to applicable approvals and card terms. The service also includes UK payments and supported European outbound payments. EUR e-money accounts are not included.
